UNDER THE LAW.
Britney A. Green earned her undergraduate degree from Florida Atlantic University (B.S. 2001) and her law degree from Florida International University College of Law (J.D. 2005). Prior to attending law school, Ms. Green served as a noncommissioned officer in the U.S. Marine Corps, earning the rank of Sergeant.
During law school, Ms. Green worked as a summer associate at the firm of Steel Hector & Davis LLP (now Squire Sanders & Dempsey LLP) and served as a law clerk for the Honorable Robert N. Scola of the 11th Judicial Circuit in Miami, Florida. She also completed internships with the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Florida and the State Attorney’s Office for the 17th Judicial Circuit in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Additionally, Ms. Green was President of the Board of Advocates, and earned several advocacy awards including: Moot Court Champion and Best Oralist (FIU College of Law); Best Brief Writer (Florida Bar’s Robert Orseck Memorial Moot Court Competition); and the Book Award for trial advocacy. Ms. Green also competed in the 55th Annual National Moot Court Competition held in New York City.
After law school, Ms. Green joined the Miami law firm of Abadin Jaramillo Cook & Heffernan. There, she specialized in the areas of medical malpractice defense, insurance defense, and commercial litigation.
Also while in South Florida, Ms. Green worked as the Associate Director for Career Development at Nova Southeastern University’s Shepard Broad Law Center. There, she mentored law students and alumni, and coordinated recruitment, counseling and professional development events.
In 2008, Ms. Green returned to Northwest Louisiana to live and practice law. Currently, Ms. Green concentrates her practice in the areas of divorce, child custody, personal injury, successions, and civil litigation.
